Revel P-90 Jazzmaster

(3 customer reviews)

LEAD TIME AS OF 2/4/24: 6 TO 8 WEEKS

$120.00

The Revel Jazzmaster P-90 is vintage voiced and able to produce very sweet and fat cleans but will also easily drive your amp giving up all the grunt and grind of a good P-90. These have a mid-range accentuation (like a P90 does) and a much smoother attack than a traditional or vintage Jazzmaster pickup. These are for those who rock.

Bridge: 9.5k, Neck: 8.4k or 7.8k

  • Adjustable Poles
  • RW/RP for in-phase and humbucker wiring options
  • Available in stock bridge and stock neck and/or under-wound neck

These are fantastic. Love that juicy ‘90, especially in the 50s wind I got mine done in. Absolutely wonderful.

After dropping this in my bridge and getting it on stage, I discovered that this pickup was exactly what I was missing/ what I had been searching for in my jazzmaster. I wanted a jazzmaster to begin with for its versatile tone options, but with the stock pickups it was very thinned out in comparison to my thin line tele. This p90 gave me the bite I was needing for leads, and also gave me the great option of a whole sounding clean that can get the slightest bit of grit if I dig in. The whole process was very quick and easy, very satisfied and highly recommend this pickup and Revel!

I recently built a Jazzmaster and was looking for P90s that fit in Jazzmaster covers. I looked at the usual suspects – Lollar, Fralin, Seymour Duncan – but I found Revel through some web searching and gave him a call to discuss which model would be best for my situation. Jesse was super helpful and answered all my questions. Ultimately I went with a slightly underwound set and they sound awesome – lots of grit and mid crunch but plenty of jangle and wonderful cleans when I dial back the volume knob. This may sound strange but these pickups take OD pedals extremely well.
