The Revel Full Bore humbucker is an ideal pickup for those who want to cover everything from classic blues licks to modern shred. The stock 4 wire lead also allows the player to split the coils into wonderfully satisfying (and wondrously numerous) split coil, series and parallel combined tones.

The design is progressive, utilizing an atypical wire gauge, offsets, magnetically gapped coils and vulcanized fiber baseplates which help to reject squeal under heavy distortion. Punchy mids, accentuated highs and solid (but never muddy) lows are the result. The pickups can be played dark or bright while never losing definition or the crispiness of the highs.

Available in open bobbins (matte black only), solid chrome or nickel covers, or black and/or white plastic covers.

A NOTE ABOUT SOUND CLIPS:

Corporate marketing hype has made it mostly necessary to include sound clips and resistance specifications. Both have very limited meaning and are, in many ways, lies. The best player can make the lousiest guitar loaded with the cheapest pickups played through the lamest amp sound downright amazing. For that reason I feel that clips are misleading. Clips let you hear almost everything except the pickup and primarily the amp in a controlled environment that’s not readily reproducible. Please take these thoughts into consideration.
